Question on installing Vista 64 bit with 4gb of ram?
BobS no-...@here.com microsoft public windows vista installation_setup Peter, I'd be interested in reading some of that info you refer to. I have a SATA problem with the nForce4 drivers and have a case open with Nvidia now but all I really have is gut feeling that the driver is at fault and I can't load Vista x64

I have a MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI (an nForce4 board), running Vista x64 with 4 GB of RAM and an onboard SoundBlaster Live! I wanted to basically re-install vista on this hard-drive and migrate my setup, while keeping XP installed on Hard Drive A. nVidia nForce4 Realtek/Gigabyte SPDIF is not working in Vista.
The default Vista ethernet drivers work just fine. I don't think these are really needed for the nforce4 chipset. What they really need, and dont include, are audio drivers. The only problem is that Nvidia never made any nforce drivers for my nforce4 ultra that work well. So I am still using the default vista drivers. I was just hoping if something can be seen from the debug info that would point to a specific hardware component so I would know which driver is the culprit.
